For business owners

You built something worth protecting.

Most owners I talk with want three things: a fair price, a good home for their people, and customers who keep getting great service. That's where every conversation starts.

What stays

  • Your team
  • Your name and local identity
  • Your customer and supplier relationships
  • Your involvement, as much or as little as you want

What we add

  • Direct factory sourcing and better purchasing terms
  • Clear reporting, pricing and inventory tools
  • eCommerce and digital sales channels
  • Capital for inventory, showrooms and growth

Ways to transition

  • Full sale
  • Partial sale, with rollover equity so you share in what comes next
  • Staged handoff over time
  • Seller financing where it fits

How it works

  1. A confidential first call. No documents needed.
  2. Mutual NDA.
  3. We look at the business together: team, customers, numbers.
  4. A letter of intent with clear terms.
  5. Diligence and closing, on a timeline we agree on together.

For investors & lenders

An operator-led independent sponsor platform.

Tile and stone distribution in the U.S. is fragmented. Many strong regional distributors are family-owned, and many have no succession plan. Anchor IX sources these businesses directly from owners, acquires them deal by deal with equity and debt partners, and builds them into a long-term platform. I lead each business as operator after close.

Actively sourcing. Owner-direct conversations under NDA.

Why capital partners back it

  • No CEO search. The sponsor is the operator, with 15+ years in this industry.
  • Owner-direct sourcing. Relationships built over years in the trade, not auctions.
  • Sector diligence built in. Product, pricing, sourcing and branch economics are known ground.
  • Turnaround experience. Underperforming stores returned to consistent profit, so distressed situations with strong sales are in scope.
  • Standalone underwriting. Each deal has to work on its own before any synergy.

Value creation levers

  • Factory relationships across Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa
  • Pricing discipline and margin management
  • Commercial and builder channel growth
  • eCommerce and digital sales
  • Reporting, inventory and working capital

How we work

Great businesses start with great people.

Listen before changing.

Learn from the people closest to the customer. Respect the product knowledge and relationships that built the business.

Give people the means to succeed.

Clear roles, practical tools, coaching and room to grow.

Make accountability mutual.

Leaders follow through, communicate honestly and recognize good work.

The first year, in four steps:

  1. Understand the business. Team, customers, suppliers, cash flow.
  2. Make the daily work easier. Better reporting, pricing, purchasing and inventory tools.
  3. Grow where the customer is. Deepen existing accounts first, then add products and channels.
  4. Integrate with care. Leadership and financial visibility first, systems after, with training for every change.

About Jeramy

I know this business from the inside.

I'm Jeramy Janz. I've spent more than 15 years in tile and stone distribution, most recently running a multi-channel region with responsibility for purchasing, global sourcing, pricing, marketing, eCommerce and P&L across six customer channels.

Along the way I built a commercial sales division from the ground up, expanded regional gross margins from about 44% to about 51%, and turned three underperforming stores into consistently profitable ones.

I'm building Anchor IX to give good distributors a long-term home, and I'll lead it personally.
